A.J. Hawk’s talent as a high level football player was first realized when he made the varsity team as a freshman Centerville High School in Dayton, OH. Not only did Hawk make the team, he started at middle linebacker on defense and running back on offense. Hawk set records for the high school including 30 tackles in one game and 583 tackles for his high school career. Hawk accepted a scholarship from Ohio State. As a freshman Hawk was part of a Buckeye team that went undefeated at 14-0 during the season and won the 2002 National Championship. Following his college career, Hawk was a first round draft pick (5th overall) of the Green Bay Packers. Hawk led the Packers with 155 tackles in his rookie year. In 2010, Hawk and the Packers beat the powerhouse Pittsburgh Steelers to win Super Bowl XLV.
